The TUG Collaboration aims to provide:

  1. Easy access to each others collections and services
  2. User-friendly desktop access to networked information on campus, in the workplace and from home
  3. Client-centred training services

Business principles

To sustain service goals TUG will:

  1. Prepare development plans to deliver agreed upon levels of service
  2. Have a clear and agreed concept of our core business
  3. Optimize human and financial resource investment through sharing common technical and administrative infrastructure, when feasible
  4. Ensure, where practical, that the infrastructure facilitates access to public and private sector providers of educational products and services
  5. Maintain a healthy balance between collaboration and independence
  6. Define models for life cycle investment costs to sustain the infrastructure
  7. Develop and maintain appropriate cost-sharing models
