How to Download TRELLIS Records to RefWorks

  1. Select records.
  2. In the “ Print, Save or Email” box at the bottom of the page Select Format: Public View.
  3. Click on Print or Save From Browser .
  4. From the new window Save As a .txt file.
  5. Login to RefWorks http://refworks.scholarsportal.info/.
    Note: If you are off-campus, you may have to do one or both of the following:
    • Connect using one of the following and then navigate to RefWorks using your Library’s web site.
      • Guelph - Using the Library’s web site when you are off-campus [<http://www2.lib.uoguelph.ca/facilities/offcampus.cfm>]
      • Laurier - Connecting from off-campus [<http://remote.libproxy.wlu.ca/login?url=http://library.wlu.ca>]
      • Waterloo - Connect from Home [<http://login.lib.uwaterloo.ca/>]
      Use your University’s group code (supplied to you in an email when you create a RefWorks account) to ensure that you are at the correct site (e.g., if you are a WLU student, only the WLU group code will provide you with access to your account).
  6. Under References, select Import.
  7. For Import Filter/Data Source, choose Endeavor Voyager.
  8. Under Database, select one of the following:
    • University of Guelph (Public View)
    • University of Waterloo (Public View)
    • Wilfrid Laurier University (Public View)
  9. Under Import Reference into, select the folder in which you wish to import the records selected in step 1.
  10. Under Import Data from the following Text File, Browse to the text file created in step 4.
  11. Set Encoding to ANSI – Latin I.
  12. Click Import.
