Joyce Ward

Joyce Ward joined Northern Light in 1996. As Vice President of Editorial Services, she is responsible for the creation and maintenance of Northern Light's knowledge base. She manages the Editorial team, composed of librarians, who guide classification, design content databases, and target Northern Light's crawler.

Prior to joining Northern Light, Ms. Ward was a senior manager at Digital Equipment Corporation. She was the first manager of Digital's Corporate Library Network; manager of a software development group specializing in information retrieval; and librarian for the VAX chip development team. Her earliest professional position was as a cataloger at the Mitre Corporation Library.

Ms. Ward is a graduate of Bowdoin College and received her MLS from Columbia University. She is a former member of ITIMG, and a past president of the New England Online Users Group.
