Doug MacDonald

Doug MacDonald is a Programmer/Analyst for the Department of Computing Services at the University of Saskatchewan. He has been on contract to the Information Technology Services (ITS) Department of the University Libraries since 1993.

Recent projects have included deploying new public workstations using NT Workstation 4.0 and Internet Explorer 5.0, configuring a proxy server for off-campus users, and upgrading Silverplatter ERL and WebSPIRS servers. Current and upcoming projects include implementing an Encoded Archival Description (EAD) database using OCLC SiteSearch, installing a Citrix WinFrame server, and configuring a dedicated Data Library server.

Java and XML technologies are his current areas of fascination and experimentation. His other projects are too much like work.
