Frank Lukey
Frank is the manager of the SilverPlatter development group responsible for the Electronic Reference Library (ERL) technology. ERL is a client-server database search system suitable for Internet or Intranet access to all of the databases published by SilverPlatter. Some of the key recent additions to ERL technology have focused on linking from bibliographic databases to primary sources of information.
Frank joined SilverPlatter in 1984 shortly after the company was created and has been involved in the development of most of the technology that SilverPlatter has produced, including PC-SPIRS, MacSPIRS and WinSPIRS. During his early years with the company, Frank was very much involved in hands-on development. In more recent years, Frank has focused on managing development projects and helping to define technology strategy.
Prior to joining SilverPlatter, Frank worked with Logica, a UK computer consultancy, and with British Gas.
Frank has a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from University of Sussex, UK, and a B.Sc. in Psychology from University of Sheffield, UK.
