The New WAN Frontier: The Wild Wireless West

Wireless networks are the third frontier being opened up, in competition with existing terrestrial and satellite networks. The expansion into this new frontier has made quicker and more cost effective forms of networking a possibility, for anyone daring enough to embark upon the wild risk taking that is inherent in using a public spectrum. During this seminar, we will examine the practical implementation of wireless technology, its pros and cons, as well as present and future technologies that improve on both speed and reliability.
